Trends Report: Kitchen and Bath Trends 2021
Last week, I attended a webinar on kitchen and bath trends for 2021 hosted by Kohler and Co-ordinated by Pacific Sales. These are two of my favorite companies in the industry. The products they shared are brand new and some have not even hit the showrooms or stores yet!
So, I thought it would be fun to give you a sneak peek and the inside scoop!
LET’S START WITH THE CATEGORY OF SMART HOME
Here is the new Moxie Showerhead with wireless speakers. How cool is it to have music raining down upon you while you shower?
And below is the Aquifier Refine filtration system using Kohler Konnect.
NEXT UP, TOILETS!
The Cimarron is a popular model and now features the Revolution 360. This technology swirls the water under the rim to keep it looking clean between your household cleanings.
Brazn, a one-piece toilet has a sleek and slightly curved lid, adds an interesting shape to any room.
And here we see the Beam and Summon, with touchless flush actuators. Wall mounted toilets are becoming more popular each year. As you can imagine, the profiles are becoming more integrated with the room. The controls have a simple design as well.
This model called the San Souci Hidden Cord one piece toilet uses power for a more effective flush system. The electrical cords are hidden behind the unit.
*Sidenote - Anytime you can find a “comfort height” or “chair height” toilet, your knees will thank you. This is one important way we can outfit our homes so that we can stay living in them as we age.
OK, ONTO THE CATEGORY OF SHOWERING
Digital valves and controls for your shower. Integrated push button system. Sleek and minimalist design. Works with Bluetooth.
Two-in-One Shower head + handheld on one arm. A clean and simple look.
OUR NEXT STOP IS SHOWER DOORS
Lots of style and height options with the Elate line from Kohler. Sleek and minimal styling. Low maintenance treatment on glass. Can be open left or right to fit lots of bath layouts. And notice the accessory items that go with this matte black finish.
AND ONE OF MY FAVS—-BATHING!
Free standing tubs are still in vogue. I think of them as works of art. A beautiful addition to any bathroom. And bathtubs use MUCH LESS water than a shower does.
New styles and something for everyone’s taste.
The stillness bath collection offers relaxation at its finest. This tub comes with built-in lighting, steam, and a smart technology called PerfectFill that allows you to control how the tub fills, drains, and heats.
AND LAST ON OUR LIST FOR BATHROOM TRENDS: STYLING SPACE (CABINETS AND HARDWARE).
Combining unique materials and finishes to make your home truly one of a kind.
Here are some other examples.
My favorite (probably obvious if you know me by now). The Harken vanity is offered in 2 sizes, with several combinations of colors and tops. When you consider what you’d pay for a custom vanity to be built, installed, fabricated, and painted, I think you’ll agree, these are very well priced.
For a more contemporary styled home. Comes free standing or wall mounted.
The Lodern comes as wall mounted only. Gorgeous finish options.
All vanities offered with several Silestone quartz top options. And not only the material but the cut-out options for the number of sinks and their shape. Quartz has become the go-to material for any wet application such as a bathroom or kitchen. This is because the surface is sealed and will not promote mold or mildew.
AND NOW, ONTO WHAT’S NEW IN KITCHENS AT KOHLER!
Farmhouse sinks are going strong! The Ironridge has 8 cast iron colors including Sea Salt. (Again, you can see why I love this company. =0) Offered in 30” and 36”.
The Riverby is 36” and is available in 9 cast iron colors. This sink offers a transitional look with its beveled cuts on the front.
Touchless technology is a must these days for the kitchen. Two new styles available in this line.
And with Touchless Response Technology, simple say “pour 2 cups water” or “fill my pot” and you don’t waste a drop.
More beautiful mixed finish and style options with Tone Design Inspiration.
And this style also combines styles making it truly versatile. Can you guess which styles are represented here?
